The Spoken Box was my response to the D&AD awards brief set by Google and HMTC brief I was briefed to develop it into a spatial design for an open public space. I had to consider how the music (song and genre) linked to a social cause. I chose looking at working class issues; looking at two genres; grime and spoken word (poetry) both coming from London based artists, who both explore social issues relevant to them.
The design of the spoken box was to immerse people in the space and learn about different communities and their stories. Using a QR code people in the space could listen to the music at their own leisure.
